The moment that Jujutsu Kaisen manga fans have long awaited is finally here. With the leaks for Jujutsu Kaisen 268 already out, some fans are happier than ever to see that Megumi Fushiguro is finally back.
In the previous chapter, Nobara Kugisaki, who most fans thought was dead after what Mahito did during the Shibuya arc, was brought back to the story. This was shocking to most, but some fans held onto this theory that Nobara wasn't dead. After all this time, it isn't a theory anymore.
"Let's see some smiles, boys," Nobara says with a smile on her face.
Nobara uses her 'Straw Doll' cursed technique on Sukana's last finger to open up a window for Yuji Itadori to hit Sukana with 'Black Flash' to close out a climatic chapter. Now the current chapter starts with Sukana talking with Megumi, and Sukana seems scared, or maybe he is upset to die.
"I never intended to live a normal life. The world is full of people besides myself. Once more... I think I'll live for others," Megumi says to Sukana.
Megumi expresses his desire to live on and takes the time to reflect on his life too. There haven't been too many times when Megumi seems to have a proper or normal life. After all, he is talking to the sorcerer that took over his body. It doesn't exactly strike you as a proper life when you think about the context in which Megumi is saying it. We then go back to reality and see Yuji's domain crumbling and Sukuna's reincarnation getting undone on Megumi. As Sukana is burning away, Yuji walks over to what is left of him and, surprisingly, shows humility.
Next up in the chapter, we see a transition away from what is happening currently and see Uraume and Hakari. They seem to realize that Sukana lost.
"It's not because you guys were strong. You merely got lucky. Being born a thousand years later saved your lives," Uraume says to Hakari.
"I merely got lucky? That's the ultimate praise for a guy like me!" Hakari says.
It's super funny dialogue. After this, we see the reunion of Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji for the next couple of pages. In this section, we see that Yuji has letters that Gojo wrote that Shoko gave him. There were only two letters since Yuji talked to Gojo directly. This creates a memorable moment for the three of them. The chapter ends with the three of them meeting up with the others, and we see Maki, Toge, Panda, Kusakabe, Miwa, and Momo. It turns out they need to meet up with them because it is about Yuta?!?!
Three more chapters until the finale. Gege Akutami's manga Jujutsu Kaisen will be on break next week. If the schedule doesn't have any setbacks, then the next three chapters will come out on September 15th (269), 22nd (270), and then the final chapter on the 29th (271).
